Historic Yorktown Cruises

During the warmer months, the 105' Alliance schooner departs from the public Riverwalk Landing Pier jutting out into the York River. Cruises usually last about 2 hours and tickets can be purchased on board.

The classic schooner was built in 1995 in Florida as a charter vessel sailing in the waters off the coast of Maine. In 2005 the ship was purchased by Yorktown Sailing Charters and brought to Yorktown to become one of the regular delightful features on the river.

The ship is 105' long and almost 20' wide at its widest. The main mast is 63 foot tall. She has a capacity for day sails of 49 and includes on deck dining.
